This 1974 Mini Traveller arrived to us in pretty good order. Rust was confined to one 'A' panel, R/H lower rear quarter and behind the front bumper mounting lip.
Work began by stripping the vehicle to a bare body shell. The underside, engine bay, seams and lower panels were media blasted. Welding repairs were made followed by prep for paint. The underside was given a light stone chip followed by finished colour. After paint all box sections are treated with cavity wax.
Original subframes, suspension, gas tank etc refurbished. Engine uprated to a 1275cc unit and 7.5" Cooper discs fitted.
Interior panels and seats re-trimmed, carpet replaced. Single gauge speedo replaced with 3 gauge unit to allow provision for separate oil pressure and temperature gauges.
A new ash wood kit with 6 coats of marine varnish along with 4.5x10" Cooper offset Minilites finishes of the outside.
